Racing and socializing at its finest. Yacht clubs the world over host racing series that offer fast paced yacht racing in their coastal waters. Envision that you are part of the America's Cup Challenge as you round a mark and speed tack to m ake your move to the next leg of the course, faster and cleaner than any of the other competitors. Or the deftness required to converge on a mark with a fleet of boats as you jockey for the best position to round the mark, always knowing that it is the skill of the skipper and crew that keeps the yacht clear of a collision as adrenaline makes you push for the max.

In this program the student will learn the rules of the road for racing, how to speed through a tack, setting and dousing a spinnaker, where to place the yacht on the course to maximize the speed, reduce the distance, read wind lines, and develop start-line strategies. The evenings during a race week are generally dedicated to ongoing parties and socials, which can make for an excellent vacation experience. Just remember, you have to get up the next day for the race!!!!

Most of our programs can lead to Canadian, U.S., and international certification. If this is of importance to you as a student please indicate this when discussing the program in which you plan to participate.
